What's the deal with this UWA/UIWF Thing?
********************************************************

Directly from the UWA Homepage: The UWA was born in June of 1996
and functioned just like any typical e-fed for it's first two years. The UWA
had it's up times, and it's fair share of the down times. But in May of 1998
a change came to the UWA that made it different than most on the net. The
UWA opened it's doors to and began interraction with other e-feds on the
net.

Remember the National Wrestling Alliance of the 1980's? That's the UWA
of today, in terms of e-feds. The UWA opened up to function not only as a
fed, but as an umbrella to other qualified leagues on the net. Other leagues
join the UWA as a regional promotion. All the roleplayers from all the
joining leagues are placed on one mailing list in which all UWA mail is sent
over. Wrestlers from other leagues compete on their own promotion's cards
as well as UWA cards. All wrestlers fight for UWA titles as well as titles in
their own promotion. Interraction between feds and matches booked by me,
the head of the Alliance provides a more interesting roleplaying
environment for all.

WHAT TO SEND?
*************
- TO GET MATCHES: Challenge, Challenge, Challenge!
- TO WIN: Roleplay, Roleplay, and (Hmmmm... did I forget something? Oh
  yeah!)   ROLEPLAY!!!
-ALSO IT HELPS TO: Do Special interviews! Like write an in ring
interview, or contact me to be the interviewer and help you do one.

- SEND IN SOME EXTRA STUFF: Send something like an advertisement for
merchandise involving your wrestler, or a promo.

- AND IT NEVER HURTS TO: Send in a STRAT! That's short for STRATEGY.

-AND A GREAT ANGLE BUILDER IS: A sneak attack or any other unusual
occurenc not previously mentioned. This is not required every time...just
when you want something special to happen. It REALLY helps improve
the angles and plotlines. We can't always follow your suggestion to a
 "T," but we will try.

WHERE TO SEND IT?
*****************
ROLEPLAYS go to ([email protected])
STRATS, CHALLENGES and Special/In Ring INTERVIEWS go to
([email protected])

Please LABEL it as a "Interview,"  a "Strat," or whatever it is in the
subject line, followed by your character's name. Keeps us organized! :P
Or for Roleplays write the following in the subject header

(this is an Example): [UIWF] Pedro Kozaro

Oh, and don't send interviews on the day of the card if the card is late
and expect to win.  Strats, interviews, and anything else to do with the
card have a deadline of the Tuesday evening, or 2 nights before the card.
It's 3 nights before the card for a super card.  Thank you.

Notice: UIWF IS LOOKING FOR MORE WRITERS...  with one card a week, we
need some guys that are willing to do a match so that the card can be
bigger.

RP RULES:
-=-=-=-=-
- A wrestler is allowed _4_ roleplays a week. They do not have to be
done one a day, _HOWEVER_ the three can _NOT_ be done on the last day.
This will definitely put an emphasis on quality.

- Also, you may do one In Ring interview.  These are like the interviews
where your wrestler comes down on the card, into the ring (hence the
name in ring), and does an interview.

- Make sure your roleplay has the proper beginning.  What I mean is
this:
********************
Who: Insert you wrestler's name
About: Whatever your wrestler is gonna talk about in this flash
********************
Now you don't necessarily have to use stars but use something.

You could do something like:
()()()()()()()()()()()()

or say your wrestlers initials were SSR
SSR*SSR*SSR*SSR*SSR*

Just make sure to have the first line, the Who line, the about line
and the ending line!

- Lastly, angles and strats will now partially affect the outcome of
the match.  In an extremely close match, I will go to the angles to
see if something would make my decision better, especially if it saves
me from declaring a draw.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(I must give credit where credit is due, I stole this from the UWA.  If
Gordon or anybody else down their in UWA land has a porblem with this,
all I can say is to bad! ;}It was so good I just had to steal it! )

What a sample gameplan should look like

======================
GAMEPLAN FORMAT
======================

Wrestler Name: Pedro Kozaro

Match: Pedro Kozaro vs Ace Air

Entrance:
( Royal Oil by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones blares over the PA system
as Barry Nelson begins to introduce Pedro Kozaro. )

BN: Making his way to the ring at this time, from Juventud Mexico,
weighing in at 244 pounds, PEDROOOOO KOOOOOOZAROOOOO!

( Kozaro makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction.  He is wearing
black and green tights.)

Now that was a very basic entrance, you can get creative with it, that
was pretty much a ageneric entrance.

Plan for Match: I want Kozaro to work on Ace Air's legs to negate his high
flying ability.  To further negate he will try and keep the match and Air on
the mat.  His counter to Ace's Shooting Star Press finisher will be to play
possum and role away at the last second.

Again, very basic.  You can include specific moves you will use to
accomplish whatever is your plan, multiple counters for an opponents
finisher and anything else you think might help you win.

Winning/Losing Situation: If he wins Kozaro will look to the crowd
with a bit of a manical grin on his face.  He will then hop over the
top rope to the mat then step onto the ground.

If he loses he will snap and attempt to beat the hell out of as many
people at ringside as possible.

Just try to imagine what your character would do in either situation.

Put some thought into it.

Extra Plan: I want Pedro to do a small interview with Chris Fair before
the match in the locker room.  I'll forward the interview to you tomorrow.

When writing out a strategy make sure you write is something within
the lmits of your character.  If your guy is 6"10 300+ Brawler don't tell me
he is going to use Figure Fours or spinning toe holds to keep his opponent
on the mat.  Just put some thought into them is all I ask!
This was just basically everything you need to know. Some stuff that isn't new is repeated here but it's because it's important stuff.

Hope this clears everything up!

Casey
